As supporters of Jen Schultz throughout her 8 years in the Minnesota house, representing 7A (now 8B), we would like to share specifics as voters consider replacing Pete Stauber in the U.S. House (CD8). There’s a clear choice for voters.
We value Jen’s professional expertise in health care economics. Affordable health care and insurance for all is essential; Jen supports these goals and has worked to pass legislation that meets them.
Jen’s a problem solver; we value her ability to find solutions. Her skills were evident in the Minnesota Legislature as she worked across the aisle on broad issues.
We value also her accessibility and prompt responses to constituents.
We value Jen’s concern for underserved communities. Her efforts led to legislation establishing protections for residents of nursing homes, creating an Ombudsperson position for American Indian families, and funding tribal child welfare services and tribal public health grants.
Jen consistently sides with people over corporations, viewing government’s role as one of helping people and communities. She supports veterans, children, and people in need of affordable baby formula and insulin. She’s willing to invest in infrastructure, manufacturing, and the service industry. She’ll always defend the freedom of women to make their own health care decisions as well as our democracy—including the need to inform voters through debates—and the peaceful transition of power.
We urge you to vote on November 8th for Jen Shultz for the U.S. House of Representatives, where she will truly represent the values of CD8.
