The Superior Hiking Trail Association is seeking volunteers for a five day Trail Renewal Project to rehabilitate approximately half a mile of the Superior Hiking Trail near Lusten, Minn. The project will need 100 volunteers total, or about 20 people per day, to help rehab damaged tread between the Poplar River Bridge at Lutsen Mountains and the SHT Mystery Mountain campsite. Volunteers will also help with structure installation and repair, and installation of water drainage devices.
If you are interested in learning the types of building and maintenance techniques that create sustainable Trail surfaces, this is an excellent opportunity.
