Volleyball team takes two out of three

On Thursday, October 6 the Vikings traveled to Cromwell and lost 3-1 to the always tough Cardinals. Next, they traveled to Mountain Iron-Buhl on Monday, October 10 and beat the Rangers 3-1.

The Vikings volleyball team made short work of the visiting squad from McGregor this past Tuesday, taking a 3-0 win over the Mercs in a game played at home in the Pam Taylor gymnasium.

Playing great defense (66 percent team defense) and serving extremely well (93 percent team serving) the Vikings took the games 25-11, 25-11 and 25-15.

With the win the Vikings are now 6-6 overall and 4-5 in the Polar League large school conference.

McGregor is still winless on the year.

No stats were available for any of the three games.

The Vikings play Lakeview Christian Academy at home on Friday, October 14 at 6:30 p.m. They travel to Ely to play the Timberwolves on Monday, October 17 and then play their last regular season game at home on Tuesday, October 18 against Silver Bay. The varsity takes the floor at 6:30 p.m.
