Volleyball team falls to Cromwell- Wright in play-offs

The Cook County girls’ volleyball season came to an end with a first round loss to the Cromwell Cardinals in a game played here in the Pam Taylor gymnasium.

All of the games were close. Earlier in the season the Vikings defeated Cromwell 3-2, but it wasn’t to be on this night.

The Vikings won the first game 25-22, fell 26-24 in the second, won game three 25-19, lost 25-21 in game four and then lost a heartbreaking game five 15-13.

Charlet Waver finished with 11 digs, eight kills and three ace blocks.

Morgan Starkey had 28 kills and 13 kills. Kalina Dimitrov Dimitrova 21 digs. Katie Peck finished with 15 digs and nine kills.

The Vikings finished with six wins and seven losses on the season.

The Vikings graduate six seniors from this years’ team, Molly LaVigne, Charlet Waver, RaeAnne Silence, Morgan Starkey, Sadie Wilson and Christiana Mendivil.
