Virginia “Ginger” Rowe, 81, of Carlton died Sunday, September 2, 2018. She was born in Madison, Minn. to Adolph and Ethel Shelstad, where she lived until her family moved to Hovland, when she was a senior in high school.
She later moved to Carlton where she worked at the Carlton Hardware Hank and then City National Bank until retirement. She was a member of Bethesda Lutheran Church in Carlton.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Richard Johnson and James Rowe; son, Jeff Rowe; sister, Muriel; and niece, Linda.
She is survived by her daughters, Deb (Jack) Manisto, and Julie (Jerry) Frederick both of Esko; son, Mike (Sara) Rowe of Duluth; eight grandchildren, Jody Cassell, Aaron, Rachel, David, Joshua and Abby Rowe, Scott and Kevin Frederick; brother, Harold Shelstad of Windom; and one great-granddaughter, Iris Rowe with another due in November.
