On June 29 and 30, Cook County sent 11 boys and girls All-Star Little Leaguers (ages 10-12) to play in the Last Chance Tournament in Superior, Wis. There were six teams from around Lake Superior from Cook County to Ashland, Wis. Coaches Bryan Carpenter and Kyle Anderson led the team to two victories in four games against Ashland, Silver Bay, Two Harbors, and Western Wisconsin.

The Vikings tied for 3rd place, missing the next bracket by one run. “It was a great opportunity for our 12U baseball players to play against some good competition outside of Cook County and Silver Bay. I know the players and coaches had a great time and we plan to do more next season. I would like to thank the parents for their support – it doesn’t happen without them,” said Coach Bryan Carpenter.
