Calvin Battees sends the shot air born.
A small squad of the Viking boys’ track team traveled to Barnum on Friday, April 23, and competed against the Barnum Bombers and Carlton Bulldogs.
Placing second through fourth in the 400 meters was Jonah Schmidt (70.9), Keean Selin (70.96), and Aanakwad Redix (83.25).
Rylan Brown placed third in the triple jump with a hop, step and jump of 23’7” and Aanakwad Redix was fourth with a leap of 22’3”.
Brayden Schmidt took sixth place in the 800- meter run with a time of 2:30.1.
In the relay events, the Vikings took first place in the 4×800 meter relay (10:34.84), second in the 4×100 meter relay (61.71), and second in the 4×400 meter relay with a time of 5:00.97.
