Victor Glenn Pederson, 66, Grand Marias, died unexpectedly on Saturday, March 17, 2018, at North Shore Health.
He was born September 21, 1951, to Glenn N. and Myrtle (Powell) Pederson in Eureka, California. He grew up in Grand Marais where he attended school and worked as a logger for most of his life.
He enjoyed and excelled in hunting, fishing, and carpentry and was known as a story-teller and teller of very tall tales.
Victor was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Garon Glenn Pederson.
Victor is survived by his daughter, Sandra McQuatters; grandchildren Breyer and Trace McQuatters; his dogs, Burt and Terd; siblings, Ray “Punky” Pederson, Geraldine “Ticka” Pederson, Warren “Scrack” Pederson, Marshall “Dinky” Pederson, Patricia Rutka, and Rebecca Pederson; and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Victor’s life will be held at the Grand Marais Community Center at 3 p.m. Saturday, March 24. Feel free to bring a dish and a story to share. Burial will take place in the spring at Maple Hill Cemetery.
