The Cook County School District I.S.D. 166 is once again holding a Veterans Day tribute at 2 p.m., on Monday, November 11, and the community is invited to attend.
Cook County Veterans Service Office Karen Christenson will be the keynote speakers for the program. And, of course, the American Legion Post 413 Honor Guard will participate in the ceremony.
Following the school program, a free meal for veterans and their spouses will be held at Birch Terrace restaurant. The meal will be hosted by American Legion Post 413 and Women’s Auxiliary.
Great Expectations School is also having a Veteran’s Day program on November 11, at 8:30 a.m.
