On Tuesday, May 28, staff from the Cook County Highway Department transported K-9 Eddy’s agility equipment to the Cook County Airport where they also assisted the Cook County Sheriff ’s Office in setting up the course for K-9 Eddy to keep his skills sharp and continue his ongoing training.
The students of Cook County High School/Middle School Industrial Arts classes taught by Mr. Rauzi built the agility equipment for the course. Each section of the course was built to United States Police Canine Association (USPCA) specifications. The material for the course was purchased at Sawtooth Lumber and Buck’s Hardware with donations that were made to the K-9 program.
The Cook County Sheriff ’s Office, Deputy Paul Spry and K-9 Eddy would like to thank all of the individuals and businesses from our community for their generous support of our K-9 program. A special thank you to Mr. Rauzi, and all students listed below for doing such an outstanding job and being a part of this great opportunity. Also a huge thank you to the Cook County Highway Department, the Cook County Airport, Cook County Board of Commissioners, Sawtooth Lumber, Cook County Sheriff ’s Office deputies, dispatchers and family members.
