Spruce budworm has a visible impact on Minnesota’s Northeast Arrowhead forests. Dead and dying balsam fir and spruce are key signs of spruce budworm infestation, which leaves many of us concerned about managing our woodlands’ health.
Join the University of MN Extension for an in-person workshop at the Cook County Higher Education Building in Grand Marais on August 22nd from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. CT to learn more about the identification, impacts and management of spruce budworm with Extension educators. Learn about resources available through Cook County Firewise and Cook County Soil and Water Conservation District for responding to spruce budworms.
This workshop will focus on spruce budworm at a forest health scale but will also contain information relevant to those concerned about budworm impacts in yards of all sizes. This workshop is free but you must register by visiting cche.app.neoncrm.com/np/clients/cche/event.jsp?event=296&.
