Four men checking to see if the smelt were running in the small creek in the Grand Marais Rec Park were shocked by what they saw in the black as coal sky over the Harbor. Three-disc shaped objects, two small and one much larger, were hovering in the night sky. One of the fellows got his cell phone out and filmed the larger disc. The two smaller aircraft flew out of sight in the wink of an eye.
The unidentified flying objects didn’t make a sound and flew at a great rate of speed.
As one witness said, a non-believer in UFO’s before this incident, it was like they were looking at something out of this world.
And who knows, maybe they were?
A week later, two adult brothers came off a walleye lake in the dark. Looking up, they also saw a UFO, one that looked like the photographed UFO caught on a cell camera, and they notified the photographer and explained what they had seen.
Skeptics would say these eyewitnesses were seeing stars, drones, meteors, etc., but not flying saucers.
However, recent reports by virtually all the television media have been describing more and more reports of UFOs in our skies.
The Pentagon confirmed existence of the Unidentified Arial Phenomena Task Force, a secretive agency that tracks UFO’s that could potentially pose a threat to national security. U.S. intelligence agencies are expected to make a report to Congress in June about unidentified aerial phenomena. There is conjecture about the existence of “little green, or grey, space aliens and their ships” on the national news.
One CNBC news report suggests that the U.S. Navy formalized a reporting process in 2019 for its pilots who encountered these unidentified flying objects. And film followed of Navy aircraft taking pictures of UFO’s flying next to the jets.
But how about Cook County? In the 1960s and 70s there were sightings and reports of UFO’s made to Law enforcement and those incidents were covered in the Cook County News-Herald. But few reports in the last 30 years or so, until now.
So, where is Fox Mulder (David Duchovny) and Dana Scully (Gillian Anderson) when you need them? For now, all we know for sure is, “The Truth is Out There!”
