Two Vikings selected to play in Polar League volleyball all-star game

Vikings volleyball coach Pam Taylor said two of her players, Meredith Sutton and Raina Ryden, have been chosen by opposing coaches to play in the Polar League All-Star Game.

“This was nice but I think some of the coaches from the teams we played against earlier in the season forgot about some of our other players,” Taylor said.

The Polar League All- Star game will take place on Monday, November 14 in Carlton.

Taylor said Sutton, the team’s star junior player, has also been picked for the All-State Team.

“I don’t now if Meredith was selected first team, second team or honorable mention at this point. We will find out at the state tournament,” Taylor said.

Sutton earned honorable mention all-state honors last year and was named an All-American at an AAU tournament played in Florida this last summer.
