Basket-maker Jane Shinners and Cook County Community Education are offering this course perfect for beginner basket makers on Sunday, January 17 at Cook County High School, room 101.
Using a round wooden base, this basket is woven quickly using a twill weave on the sides. It can be finished with a decorative, handmade wroughtiron leaf handle. Shinners said the woven bowl is useful as a fruit bowl or a breadbasket. It is 8” at the base and is 6” tall.
Theclass fee is $12 and there is a $28 materials fee for a bowl with handle; $15 without handle.
