Motorists traveling on Highway 61 north of Two Harbors may encounter temporary lane closures Mondays through Fridays, between 8 a.m. and 2:30 p.m., until May 1, as crews work on a tree and brush removal project. The temporary lane closures will be marked with portable signals.
The temporary lane closures are necessary while crews remove trees and brush in preparation for drainage improvement project this summer and in preparation for a road resurfacing project next summer.
Crews will do the work as time permits and weather allows. Other projects, such as snow plowing, will take precedence over this project.
Motorists should drive with caution in the work zone area.
