A unique opportunity is allowing Arrowhead Electric members to help fellow Minnesotans this winter and receive a free strand of holiday LEDs in exchange.
Arrowhead Electric will collect strands of working and non-working holiday lights at their office in Lutsen. For each strand of lights brought into the office the cooperative will give members a free stand of energy efficient LED lights.
The old strands will be sent to MRCI WorkSource in Mankato, where individuals with disabilities are enabled to provide a valuable service to society by recycling the materials and earning income.
Members wanting to save more on their energy costs can visit www.mnbrighterideas. com to register for a chance at a $500 credit on their electric bill and take advantage of $3 LED holiday lighting coupons included in the November billing statements.
To learn more contact Arrowhead Electric Cooperative at 663-7239 or toll-free at 800- 864-3744 or online at www.aecimn.com.
