Tofte Fire & Rescue hosted an important day of training at the Tofte Fire Hall on December 6. Members of the Tofte Rescue Squad as well as from Lutsen and Schroeder fire departments attended Occupational Automotive Industry Related Education (OAIRE).
The instructor was Butch Lysholm who lives in the Metro area and travels all over the United States to provide this excellent training on emergency response to car crashes involving hybrids, Mitsubishi and BMWs.
Kim Jahnke of Tofte Fire & Rescue said the training will be very helpful to all of the departments. Jahnke added, “We would also like to express our thanks to Dennis Rysdahl and Bluefin Bay for catering our lunch for us! It was greatly appreciated!”
