Should the town of Tofte have a logo? That was the question posed to the Tofte Town Board by Clerk Barb Gervais on Thursday, April 14. Gervais reported on the progress toward design of a township website. She said she and EMS Director Louise Trachta would be meeting with web designer Nina Simonowicz to look at various options. However, already they had noticed that some town and city websites have a logo of some kind. “Is this something Tofte would like to consider?” she asked.
Gervais asked if the town board would like to hold a logo design contest. “There are many great artists in our community—maybe a citizen could design something,” she said.
The board agreed and directed Clerk Gervais to work out the details for a contest. “We could announce the results at the 4th of July celebration,” said Supervisor Paul James.
