Time to plan for Hopped Up Caribou Festival



This year’s Hopped Up Caribou Festival at Caribou Highlands Lodge in Lutsen will take place July 12-14 and feature an array of local craft brewers, live music and plenty of activities.

On Friday at 5 p.m. check-in for the beer tasting with Voyageur Brewing in the lobby of Caribou Highlands Lodge. From 6 to 8 p.m. there will be a four-course beer paired dinner at Moguls Grille & Tap Room for $49.

Timmy Haus will sing and play from 8 to 11 p.m. in the Village Courtyard. Cost is $5 and includes one beer.

Saturday’s festivities list a 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. free time for adventure. From 8 to 11 a.m. there will be a breakfast and Blood Mary bar. The Beer Fest in the Village Courtyard opens at 1 p.m. and continues until 4 p.m. with music by Timmy Haus. Cost to attend is $39.

From 6 to 8 p.m. there will be a pig roast dinner in the Village Courtyard with live music for $49.

Big Wave Dave & The Ripples will play music in the Village Courtyard from 8 to 11 p.m. The cost to take part is $5 and includes one free beer.
