Time to end domestic and sexual violence for good

The Violence Prevention Center held their third annual Dance Until There Is No More at WTIP’s Radio Waves Music Festival. VPC board members and supporters wore teal shirts emblazoned with the message “Believe There Is Good In The World” as they danced to the bands that Saturday afternoon.

We danced to support the Violence Prevention Center and its ongoing efforts: . Providing free and confidential services to all affected by domestic and sexual violence at whatever stage they are in their healing. . Answering needs 24/7 with an advocate staffed phone line. . Providing community awareness events/education. . Facilitating prevention groups and education in the schools. . Collaborating with a wide range of other community resources.

Ending domestic and sexual violence in our community will take the efforts of the whole community saying together that the use of violence is not accepted. The VPC board and staff are so grateful that WTIP allowed us to have Dance Until There Is No More at the beautiful community event that is Radio Waves.

We thank all the generous community members who pledged the dancers. We thank everyone who stopped by the booth for conversation. We thank the kids who spread joy with bubbles and balloons. We hope that we were a witness to the hope that together we can make domestic and sexual violence No More.

There is still opportunity to pledge the dancers and support the VPC. Pledges can be mailed to the Violence Prevention Center at PO Box 134, Grand Marais, MN 55604 or a link on our web site at violencepreventioncenter.org

In peace and hope,
Jenny Delfs, MD and the rest of the
Violence Prevention Center Board
