Three Businesses destroyed by fire April 13

The city called in a backhoe to push over the buildings and then aid in the clean up of the burned debris.

A few observers slipped closer to get photos of the burning buildings. They didn’t stay long as law enforcement swooshed in and directed them back behind the fire perimeter.

With the city fire hydrants running low on water pressure, firefighters began pulling water from Lake Superior. The city asked residents to not use any tap water during the fire because every drop was needed to extinguish the blaze.
