Thomas V. Byholm,





 

 

51, of Grand Marais died Monday, October 31, 2011 at his home.

He was born June 1, 1960 to Virgil and Mary Jane (Noskowiak) Byholm in Grand Marais. Tom graduated from Glidden High School, Glidden, WI in 1978. In 1979 he enlisted in the US Army, leaving the service in 1987. He has worked as an automotive technician since 1999 for Grand Marais Motors. Tom was a racing enthusiast, cherished his Goldwing and snowmobile, and adored his family and his pets.

Tom is preceded in death by his mother, father, his maternal and paternal grandparents and his stepmother.

Tom is survived by his sons Brett (Kylie) Byholm of St Francis, MN, Bryan (Karissa) Byholm of Blaine, MN, and Derek Sarff (Carrie) of Oak Grove, MN; his soul mate, Cindy Schaekel-Byholm of Blaine, MN; his brother Bill (Michelle) Byholm and sister Cindi (John) Grage both of Glidden, WI; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Tom was also survived by many loving aunts and uncles and his extended family Cindy, Sandy, Patty, and Jay Stark from Superior, WI.
