Thomas “Tom” Gerald Parent, 57, of Silver Bay born August 12, 1955 died peacefully on January 4, 2013 at Benedictine Health Center.
Tom stated “he has lived a full life for his young age.” Tom grew up in Schroeder. At the age of 18, he was firefighting with the forestry department after that he joined the Marines.
He married Patricia on March 4, 1983 and then went to college taking a law enforcement class and graduated in 1986. Tom worked law enforcement in Boise Forte and was an 1854 Authority Chief game warden, the first Indian warden in ceded territory and cross deputized state and federal warden, while still at 1854 Authority.
He then became a casino worker. Tom retired due to medical reasons and was a cancer survivor.
Tom is survived by his wife, Patricia; children Sue (Rodger) Raine, Kevin (Lori) Linder, Todd (Sandy) Linder and Heidi Parent; four granddaughters; one grandson; one great grandson; two great grandbabies on the way; parents Gerald and Theresa Parent; siblings Jeanne (Mark) Tobolaski, Ricky (Darla) Parent, Jerelyn Parent, and Robert Parent; 12 nieces and nephews; three great nephews; one great niece and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A celebration of life memorial service will be held at Schroeder Town Hall Saturday January 12, 2013 from 12 – 3 p.m.
