Thinking about hiring H2B or J1 international workers?

The Cook County Chamber is organizing a workshop for employers who hire, or would like to hire, international workers through the H2B and J1 student visa programs. Please save the date: 1-3 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 7, at Cook County Higher Ed, 300 W. Third St., Grand Marais.

More information will be provided closer to the date, but the two principal speakers will be Loan Huynh of Frederickson & Byron in Minneapolis, who will focus on the H2B program, and Bruce Kerfoot, former owner of Gunflint Lodge and operator of a sponsoring agency for the J1 student exchange program. Employers who wish to may sign up for short individual sessions with Huynh following the workshop. We will begin to publicize the workshop and accept registrations about three weeks before the Sept. 7 workshop.
