Once again the high school senior college literature class put on a fantastic Theater Sports show at the ACA on Friday, March 16, drawing a friendly crowd and raising a goodly sum of money for their class trip to the Twin Cities.
Featuring fast-paced ad-lib skits and games led by high school language arts teacher Michael McHugh, the show was once again an uproarious crowd pleaser.
Attendance for the Friday, March 16 event was 130.
The kids enrolled in Stephanie Lundorff’s College in the Schools (CITS) literature class raised nearly $800 for the evening of fun.
The hour-and-a-half show had lots of energy. Following the performance, Mr. McHugh said, “I am very proud of these kids.”
During the show, Ms. Lundorff even got up on stage and performed in a game of Clue.
Throughout the evening there was lots of audience participation. And although it is called “Theater Sports” featuring two competing sides, no scores are kept.
Funds raised from this performance will be used to help defray the cost for the CITS kids to travel to the Twin Cities where they will take a tour of the Guthrie Theater and also attend Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner later in April.
