The Wizard returns to the Playhouse

The community is invited to once again enjoy the original story of Dorothy’s adventures in Oz as she meets new friends and encounters many wonders and dangers. Thecurrent Grand Marais Playhouse production of Wizard of Oz is an updated, grand production with a cast of 40, with wonderful costumes and more special effects. The show is a treat for the entire family!

There will be a special “sneak preview” performance on Wednesday, August 26, with all seats just $5. On Thursday, August 27, an Opening Night Reception includes free dessert and punch after the show, courtesy of Sweet Life Bakery. On Friday, August 28, community members are encouraged to bring a child to the theater with special prices—children 12 and under free with an adult ($10). Sunday, August 30, is Donation Day—theater goers may pay any amount for each ticket (more or less, as you wish!) Donation Day is sponsored by North Shore Federal Credit Union. And finally, on Thursday, September 3—Happy Birthday, Sue! The community is invited to enjoy a special birthday cake and punch with director Sue Hennessy and cast.
