The North Superior Ski and Run Club, Grand Marais was awarded a $1,000 grant that will be used to support equipment needs for an outdoor program for youth interested in learning a new skiing technique.
The grant comes from the Northland Foundation’s Youth in Philanthropy who announced last week nine awards to children-and-youth led projects in the region.
The grants, up to $1000 each, support school and community projects planned and developed by children and youth in the region.
The Board meets three times during the school year: October, January, and April. The next deadline to submit a Youth in Philanthropy grant application for spring and summer project funding is April 1, 2023. To apply: northlandfdn.org/grants/apply-report.php.
The KIDS PLUS Youth in Philanthropy Program receives funding support from the Scott and Holly Martin Family Foundation, members of the Northland Foundation’s Emeritus Trustee Group, and the Northland Foundation.
