The Johnson Heritage Post Art Gallery has updated a Request for Qualifications for a Public Art Project

Due to high interest in additional mediums, the Johnson Heritage Post Art Gallery (JHP) of the Cook County Historical Society (CCHS) is re-posting an opportunity for an artist or collaborative team to design and install a public art piece for the main plaza entrance of the JHP Art Gallery in Grand Marais, Minnesota.

Through the artwork, the JHP aims to celebrate both our community and the cultural heritage of the region, and to enhance the JHP public gathering space. The goal is to commission an artwork that reflects artistic and technical qualities and fosters a welcoming and uplifting environment. This project is funded through a generous grant from the Lloyd K. Johnson Foundation and funds from the State of Minnesota.

Please view the Request for Qualifications for complete information, eligibility, and submission requirements.

All applications must be received by 5:00 p.m. (CST) on Friday, August 18, 2023.
