The Co-op is hosting a Garden Party at the Community Gardens

As you may know, the Co-op has sponsored many aspects of this Community area, in Grand Marais, including the children’s playground with alphabet herb gardens, children’s gardening classes, and many new raised beds, being lovingly tended. A beautiful garden shed with deck, has been graced with the work of local artists, and is a standing tribute to what many hands can accomplish. Sponsored artist Sam Zimmerman’s presence is felt nearby at the children’s playground, which will bring a smile to children of all ages.

Listen to live music and enjoy garden tours by local youth. Enter the Best Garden Hat Contest! Creativity is the key—Garden Party Hat or Garden Work Hat? The choice is yours! The grand prize is a $50 Co-op Gift Card. Second place is a $25 Co-op Gift Card.

Please join us Friday, August 20th from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. at the Community Gardens, located between the ball fields and the warming house in Grand Marais. All are welcome.
