More than 3,000 people attended the two-day semi-annual Hovland Arts Festival held at the Hovland Town Hall July 1 and 2 on a weekend blessed with beautiful weather.
With 40 artists on hand displaying their work and wares there was a lot to look at and choose from. Shannon Crossbear was back with a story hour and half a dozen local musicians played over the two days.
The arts festival is a semi-annual event showcasing the talent and artistry of Hovland residences or folks who have ties to Hovland. There were also tables set up by folks from Arrowhead Animal Rescue and Dark Skies and a message table and horseback rides available.
On Saturday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. there was a Hovland Writers Salon that featured writers Carrie Colburn, Lin Salisbury, Siffy Torkildson and Tor Torkildson.
Next November there will be a winter Hovland Arts Festival.
