How do you measure success?
Girl Scout 4112 has one answer and that is by the number of smiling excited children (and we hope adults too) that came through Santa’s Workshop this weekend.
We had elves (Winifred Walters, Lily and Leah Belmore, Mali Shields, Mia Arnold, Becky Frost) who had the best task of helping little shoppers find just the right gift for family and friends. Then presents went to the wrapping station
(Rita Lee Walters, Op Shields, Heather Belmore) where they readied presents to be placed under the tree.
The tables were filled with generous donations from Oddz & Endz, Pat Finn, Donna Lunke, Rhonda Silence, Amanda Phiel, Laura LaFavor, Birch Bark and many others over the last two years.
Volunteers, who in addition to devoting days also made road signs, painted the Santa photo, brought lunch to workers, manned the campfires, gave countless hours and worked so very hard to bring this to you— our community—have also earned a star on their tree (Christine Kunze, Laura LaFavor, Op and Kevin Shields, Tom Thompson, and Emily Arnold.
We are very grateful for all of the support this community has given Girl Scouts and hope to return your generosity through events like this.
Season greetings and thank you.
Arvis Thompson,
Grand Marais
