Thanks for Your Consideration

Because a deadline is a deadline, this letter was written and submitted before the Tuesday, November 8th election day. While the results were still unknown at that time regarding the ISD 166 Bonding and Operating Levy measures, the Vote Yes Committee was certainly clear about something: Your communities care about their schools.

Win or lose, this has been a valuable process. We volunteers spoke to many, many concerned citizens. We knocked on your doors, we called your phones, and we met with many of you at various events.

It must be noted that we were treated respectfully and courteously. People asked smart questions and challenged us to present facts. We were encouraged, debated, appreciated, and acknowledged. We couldn’t have asked for more.

Thank you, everyone, for your consideration. No, we won’t always agree, but we are thankful for those who did participate in the conversation. We believe strong communities need strong schools, but strong communities also need dedicated and concerned citizens – and that’s you!

Thank you! Sincerely,

Michael McHugh
