Technology open house continues at library March 4

The Grand Marais Public Library continues its series of technology open houses on Wednesday, March 4, at the library from 6 to 8 p.m.

Local tech enthusiasts will be available to talk to those who consider themselves “beginners or below” in knowledge of computers, broadband and electronic devices. All questions are welcome and no concern is too basic to be brought up. Your participation will shape our efforts to help you become familiar with changing technology and how tech can enrich your life.

The session is free-form, intended to answer the questions and meet the needs of those who attend. Participants may bring their own devices, or use those owned by the library or others. This open house is also your opportunity to provide continuing feedback to help build an understanding of what are the needs of the Grand Marais community in regard to future technology workshops.

“Those with little to no exposure to technology are most especially invited to attend,” said Library Director Steve Harsin. “The library would also like to extend a particular invitation to those who may have more advanced knowledge and who might want to assume the role of a tech enthusiast.”

Those who wish to volunteer to assist in any capacity are invited to contact the library prior to the event at (218) 387-1140.
