Tater Tots and more

I am not sure which direction my time is going these days. With the cold in February I have definitely been going ahead to warmer times. But below zero days have been good for cleaning and sorting out stuff, spring cleaning as we know it, and that has sent me backwards in time to past memories. So I guess I am not sure which direction I am going in. But both directions are wonderful. I have many friends and family who have been traveling or moving south to warmer weather and then it starts, they start posting pictures of their warm weather fun on Facebook. This forces my brain to jump ahead to warmer spring weather, even farther, to retirement and going south for the winters. I have a few years left on that last one. So for now I set my clock ahead one hour on March 8th and I’m that much closer to my dreams. Now taking a step backwards, while doing some sorting of stuff last weekend, I came across photos and paper memories that I saved from my three children growing up. They are all adults now, so that really sent me backwards in time. Oh the smiles and good laughs I had. The best memory came from an empty envelope that at one time had a Valentine given to me by my daughter Anna when she was in elementary school. There was no card in it; I guess the card was not as precious as the envelope at the time. Written on the envelope was “Happy

Valentines. I love you lots, like Tator Tots. Anna.”

Now mind you, this is a kid who loved Tater Tot hot dish growing up. She still does, she must have been comparing me to Tater Tots that particular year. I love going backwards in time.
