It makes you wonder what people are thinking when they confuse local weather phenomenon as evidence that global warming is not happening. Climate change is starkly evident.
Witness the loss of ice in both the northern and southern regions of the world. It doesn’t take a scientist to figure out that global warming is occurring; simply paying attention to what’s happening around the world in terms of extreme weather occurrences should tell you something, unless of course your perception of reality is tied to your political ideology.
I would say to those who believe in that reality, you lose. You lose credibility. The community loses continuity and cohesiveness from the divisiveness it fosters.
Why carry on about something that’s not in question any more. The question before us now is what to do about it. What steps small and large can we take to minimize the impact of global warming on our global climate?
