Need a Mother’s Day present?
Take Mom Fishing Weekend will once again be held throughout Minnesota on May 10 and 11, which coincides with the 2014 walleye and northern pike fishing opener.
Any mother who is a resident of Minnesota can fish without a license during the weekend. Also, moms who live in the seven-county metro area or are visiting can learn fishing tips, bait shop locations, where to borrow fishing equipment and more by visiting the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources Fishing in the Neighborhood program website at www.mndnr.gov/ fishing/fin.
