Take a behind-the-scenes look during WTIP’s new volunteer open house

WTIP invites the community to stop by the radio station on Wednesday, January 18 at 6 p.m. for a new volunteer open house. WTIP staff and volunteers will be on hand to talk about the many ways you could become involved in the community radio station.

WTIP’s Cathy Quinn explained, “In this non-intimidating and casual setting we’ll bring you behind the scenes of WTIP and introduce you to the craft of radio production.”

Quinn said volunteers are the backbone of WTIP and the opportunities are endless. Volunteers are needed behind the scenes to help with production, transcribe interviews, engineer remote broadcasts and more. “Of course, we always need folks on the air to host music and local events programs as well as our trivia show Small Change,” said Quinn. “We encourage you to harness your creativity and consider WTIP as an outlet by becoming a volunteer,” she added.

For more information please call the station at (218) 387-1070 or email Quinn@boreal.org.
