All season long Linden and Meredith Sutton led the Vikings’ volleyball team with their strong play at the net and with their hard serving from the back line. For their play the sisters were voted to Polar League All Conference honors by conference coaches.

Overall the Vikings finished with a 15-8 record and placed 5th in the Polar League out of 12 teams.

The sisters both play the front row and are noted for their ability to pass and to spike the ball. Both are also adept jump servers and as the season went along Meredith rounded into a strong back court player as well.

Meredith, just a freshman, earned 2nd team all conference honors while Linden was named honorable mention. Meredith ended her season with 160 kills and 44 ace serves while Linden, a junior, finished with 133 kills and 37 ace serves.

Linden and Meredith are the daughters of Jen and Kevin Sutton of Grand Marais.
