Winter is certainly upon us with a vengeance very early this year! December’s temperatures felt like January. The snow just kept on coming. The amount of snow we received felt like March weather. I heard on the news this morning that this December is one of the top three snowiest Decembers for Duluth on record.

Please remember to keep our seniors in mind during this tough weather. An extra hand shoveling or running errands will be greatly appreciated and maybe even life-saving. Stopping by for a visit or calling to check in is also very important. Many seniors are far more home-bound during these winter months. Please remember to take a moment to give an act of kindness. Consider your act of kindness a way of paying it forward. If your kindness bank is full, then you are full in life!

Senior Center Giving Campaign

Our local Senior Center provides services to the entire county. Whether you are a senior or not. Whether you are a local resident, summer resident or a visitor. Our Senior Center provides services to well over 1,000 individuals every year. Our annual giving campaign is upon us. The funds that are donated through this campaign are used to help support our senior programs, activities, support services and senior trips. Each donor has the opportunity to choose how his or her donation is applied. Please remember that each of your donations is fully tax deductible. You should have received a flyer in your mailbox in December. We would like to thank everyone for considering continuing to help support our local senior center.
