Supernatural Lake Superior comes to the Grand Marais Library

Have you ever looked out across Lake Superior and thought you saw a sea monster? A UFO? Or looked out on a foggy day and thought you saw the ghost of a sea monster riding on a UFO? Maybe your eyes were playing tricks on you. But then again, maybe they weren’t. Chad Lewis returns to the Grand Marais Public Library on Jan. 8 to explore some of these, and many other unexplained phenomena with you concerning the Big Lake. Photo courtesy of the G.M. Library

Chad Lewis returns for another presentation at the Grand Marais Public Library on Tuesday, January 8, at 1 p.m. His presentation is titled “Supernatural Lake Superior” and is a new topic from a presenter who has visited our community previously with well-received talks about Haunted Minnesota, Strange Creatures of Minnesota, and more.

Lewis conducts thoughtful research on supernatural topics, presents the facts that he has been able to confirm, shares the tales he has not been able to verify, and clearly distinguishes each. Listeners leave with a new appreciation for the unknown things that happen around us, and strategies to pursue their own interests in the topic in a productive manner, should they desire.

In this presentation, Lewis will challenge his audience to take a visit to the strange side of our Great Lake Superior. With bizarre tales of UFOs hovering over the water, phantom ships disappearing into thin air, haunted businesses along the shore, deadly sea serpents, mysterious creatures, and sinister men in black, this program may change the way you view the majestic lake.

The presentation is free and open to the public. The recommended audience is ages 13 to adult.

This program, sponsored by Arrowhead Library System, was funded in part or in whole with money from Minnesota’s Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
