Superior Spring Trail race coming soon

Some of the best trail runners in the country will come to compete in the upcoming May 20 Superior Trail Race(s).

Rocksteady Running is once again hosting the rugged Superior Hiking Trail event.

John Storkamp is the race director and founder of Rocksteady Running. John said this year, 980 runners are coming from two countries, 24 states, and 200 Minnesota cities to compete. The 50K has 270 entries, while 382 folks are entered to run the 25K, and 328 have signed to race the 12.5K event.

The 50k and 25k races are out-and-back competitions that start and finish at Caribou Highlands.

As of 2021, the Superior Trail Races had generated about $45,000 in donations to the Superior Hiking Association. Additionally, race organizers and volunteers contribute hundreds of hours to clear the Superior Hiking trail each year to get the course in shape for the runners.
