On Jan. 27 from 5 to 8 p.m. Sugarloaf Cove and the Minnesota DNR will present a winter exploration under the light of the moon.
Enjoy a warm campfire, toast some marshmallows, sip hot beverages and experience first-hand the beauty of the outdoors. We’ll take a torch-lit hike to the Scientific and Natural Area on the shore, so come prepared for a short expedition. Hopefully a clear night will provide great views of the moon and winter stars, but clear or otherwise there is always a lot happening under the ice and snow even when the living world seems to be slumbering.
Dress for being outside with boots and winter layers. There is also an indoor Nature Center to retreat to if the weather is overly challenging outside.
