At their annual meeting in June, the Minnesota Association of Community Theaters (MACT) elected Sue Hennessy of the Arrowhead Center for the Arts and Grand Marais Playhouse to a three-year term on its board of directors. MACT is a statewide volunteer-run organization which holds meetings, workshops, festivals and other events throughout the state of Minnesota.
MACT represents Minnesota’s rich community theater scene, including sponsoring both a biennial state one-act play contest and a biennial 20-minute play festival.
MACT President Darren Beecher said, “We are pleased to have a board member from northern Minnesota. Sue’s artistic director and technical director experience with the Grand Marais Playhouse and as facility manager for the Arrowhead Center for the Arts will enhance the expertise and skill set of the MACT board of directors.”
