Katherine Surbaugh graduates from The College of St. Scholastica
Katherine Surbaugh of Grand Marais graduated from The College of St. Scholastica with a Bachelor of Science in nursing.
St. Scholastica held its Spring 2019 commencement ceremony on Sunday, May 12 at Amsoil Arena in Duluth.
St. Scholastica is nationally recognized for quality and value. It has been named the top Minnesota college for economic mobility, and rankings by U.S. News & World Report classify it as one of the Midwest’s top regional universities. It is one of SmartAsset.com’s top 10 “Best Value” colleges in the state and ranks on Money magazine’s “Best Colleges for your Money” list.
Viren on St. Olaf College Dean’s List
Tor Viren was named to the St. Olaf College dean’s list for the spring 2019 semester. The dean’s list recognizes students with a semester grade point average of 3.75 or higher on a 4-point scale.
Tor is majoring in physics and Norwegian. He is a graduate of Southwest High School, Minneapolis.
His parents are Katherine McClure and Chuck Viren of Grand Marais.
Jordan Saethre graduates from University of Utah
Jordan Saethre of Salt Lake City, Utah graduated with a Master of Science in Finance from the University of Utah on May 2, 2019.
Saethre was among the 8,465 graduates who were honored during the university’s 150th general commencement ceremony. Students in the Class of 2019 ranged in age from 18 to 72 and earned 9,126 degrees. Graduates represented 50 U.S. states and 68 foreign countries.
Jordan is the daughter of Joy Saethre, Duluth, and David Saethre, Grand Marais.
