Marin Hay, Grand Marais, was named to the dean’s list for academic excellence for the fall 2018 semester at Bethel University, St. Paul.
The dean’s list honors students who achieve an outstanding scholastic record during a semester with a grade point average of 3.6 or greater. Bethel University is a leader in Christ-centered higher education with nearly 5,500 students from 48 states and 42 countries enrolled in undergraduate, graduate, seminary, and adult education programs.
Marin is the daughter of Mary and John Hay, Grand Marais.
MaeAnna LaFavor, Hovland, was named to the Central Lakes College fall 2018 semester dean’s list.
The president’s list includes 228 students who earned a grade-point average of 3.75 to 4.0 while enrolled for at least 12 credits. The dean’s list includes 291 students who earned a grade-point average of 3.25 to 3.74.
MaeAnna is the daughter of Jay and Laura LaFavor of Hovland.
Matea Acero, Grand Marais, was named to the Minnesota State Community and Technical College president’s list for the fall semester. To earn this award for scholastic achievement, a student must complete 12 or more college-level credits for the semester and earn a grade point average of 3.5 or higher.
Madison Roy, Grand Marais, who is majoring in statistics, was named to the dean’s list at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse for the fall semester of the 2018-19 academic year, ending December 2018.
Qualification for the dean’s list is limited to students who have attained outstanding academic achievement. To be eligible, students must have earned not less than a 3.5 semester grade point average and carried a minimum of 12 credits.
Jaymie Kirk, Grand Marais, was named to the 2018 Normandale Community College fall semester dean’s list. To qualify for the dean’s list students must be enrolled in at least nine credits and have achieved a grade point average of at least 3.5 for courses completed in the fall semester ending this past December.
Jamie is the daughter of Jordy (Heidi) Kirk and Carolyn Larsen, Grand Marais.
Benjamin (Ben) Steckelberg of Hovland was named to the fall 2018 dean’s list at The College of St. Scholastica in Duluth. Ben is majoring in Theology & Religious Studies Intended.
Dean’s list members have achieved a 3.75 grade point average or above on a 4.0 scale. The College of St. Scholastica would like to commend Steckelberg for honorable academic achievements.
