The Cook County Middle School Student Council will be hosting a food drive contest for sixth through eighth grades. The food drive started January 27. The class with the most items after two weeks wins a pizza party!
Middle school students can drop off any canned or boxed food item in boxes for their class. Theboxes are located in the Cook County Schools’ lunchroom. Courtney Blake, youth program coordinator, said the last day to bring in items is Feb 12.
The Food Drive will benefit the local food shelf. Community members that would like to help may also drop off donated food items at the Community Education office.
