Student Art Show opening reception at Johnson Heritage Post April 21





High school and middle school art students have been making many interesting pieces of art (like those above) that will be displayed at the Johnson Heritage Post Art Gallery for the next two weeks. Works include paintings, collages, sculptures, ink drawings, pencil drawings and more.

High school and middle school art students have been making many interesting pieces of art (like those above) that will be displayed at the Johnson Heritage Post Art Gallery for the next two weeks. Works include paintings, collages, sculptures, ink drawings, pencil drawings and more.

Johnson Heritage Post Art Gallery and Cook County Schools proudly present a student art exhibit on display at the gallery from April 21 through May 14.

The exhibit features artwork by Cook County Middle and High School students, displayed in the beautiful Johnson Heritage Post log building in downtown Grand Marais.

Everyone is invited to attend an opening reception on Friday,

April 21 from 5 to 7 p.m. Enjoy art by talented student artists, sample refreshments created by the school culinary arts class, listen to live music by jazz guitarist Briand Morrison, and welcome to our community new art teacher Priscilla Beck.

Johnson Heritage Post is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. (closed Tuesdays) and Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m.
