Stop community center, start recall campaign

How far does this have to go? There have been people raising their voices from the West End to Hovland to the Gunflint Trail in opposition to the size and timing of the community center white elephant.

Now there is a website and petition to sign against it. How far does this have to go?

I move to go one step farther. Start a “recall campaign” against the county commissioners involved. They are the ones pushing this forward in a still unstable time of our nation’s economy. They have not explained who will pick up the tab for operation and maintenance once the tax has sunsetted.

This is totally irresponsible. They should find new work. The people of Cook County have the power to make this happen, will they? Let’s see who does what………
