Stop and shop at Santa’s Workshop

Santa’s Workshop is always fun, with shopping for kids of all ages and holiday activities for good little boys and girls.

Santa’s Workshop is always fun, with shopping for kids of all ages and holiday activities for good little boys and girls.

Santa’s Workshop will once again bring a team of Girl Scout elves to help kids shop for Christmas gifts. Join Cook County Girl Scouts on Saturday, December 5, at the First Congregational Church in Grand Marais for this fun family event.

Festivities start with a pancake breakfast at 9 a.m. Pancakes and fixings will be available with coffee, juice and milk—Christmas treats will also be available.

Before entering Santa’s workshop filled with gifts, kids and their parents fill out a “shopping list.” Then a Scout Elf assists the little shopper in choosing and wrapping the presents, before rejoining parents, who will now have a true surprise under the Christmas tree.

No gift in the child area will cost more than $2.

There is also a shopping area for adults with many wonderful items donated to Santa’s Workshop, along with Scout-made crafts. There is an area for child-care – so parents can relax and enjoy their pancakes and shop on their own. There is craft making and activities for the kids. Santa’s Workshop ends at 2 p.m. Any profits made go to the Cook County Service Unit of Girl Scouts. The money raised this year will go toward local Girl Scout activities.
