Ever tried to balance two odd-shaped rocks on top of each other? Talk about having your dreams toppled, right?
To learn the secrets of stone balancing come learn from one of the best, Peter Juhl.
Juhl will lead a class on July 28, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Sugarloaf Cove.
Take a glimpse into the ephemeral art of stone balancing. Using photos and live demonstration, Peter will show how shape, weight, and friction can be used to create beautiful, fleeting works of sculpture. You won’t believe your eyes.
Bring along your family and be amazed by Juhl’s ability to balance rocks without glue, rods or any other adhesives. The class is $5 per person; $10 per family.
Sugarloaf Cove Nature Center is located at 9096 Hwy. 61, milepost 73, about 70 miles north of Duluth and 6 miles south of Schroeder.
